Triple Threat Justin "J Shoc" Reynolds visited from Fat Joe of Terror Squad at videoshoot

Posted by Strickly For The Promo

Justin "J Shoc" Reynolds, the sunshine states' own triple threat, announces the long awaited release of his music video "Runaway". The song captures an innocent message that is sure to get across well to all the ladies while the video elaborates and has a futuristic appeal without seeming robotic. The energy on the set was well matched by J Shoc's enthusiasm and made it easier to get the job done.

Directed by Antwon Smith and produced by BlackOut Movement, J Shoc, was joined by many talented dancers and crew members to create the amazing footage. The young sensation, who is rumored to be signing to Terror Squad in the near future, found it as no surprise when Terror Squads own, Fat Joe, showed up on the set to make a guest appearance.

Decked out from head to toe in Rush Couture, J Shoc came to the set prepared to give it his all and add imagery to his music portfolio. Vocal coach Seth Riggs, known for working with greats such as Ray Charles, Barbara Streisand, Michael Jackson, Cher, Kevin Kline, Tina Turner, and Diana Ross, has worked with J Shoc for some time and continues to be a cornerstone in his vocal development. J Shoc has also worked with several other vocal coaches in Los Angeles and Miami.

In addition to singing, J Shoc dances, acts and writes. Most notably his role in Seven Pounds, where he portrays a younger version of Will Smiths character, has brought him national attention on the acting level. J Shoc has also starred in a commercial for KFC and has held roles in several theatrical productions including "Tarzan 2".

His dance training includes Darren Henson, David Scott, Brice Vick, Fatima and Shane Sparks. J Shoc has danced background for Ciara, Omarion and Ashanti, to name a few. He also won the dance championship "Take It To The Ring" in 2003.

J Shoc also holds a First Degree Black Belt in Martial Arts and has trained with Steven Segal. "I relish performing, writing and acting", says J Shoc, "and I give 150% to everything I put my hands, heart and mind to. Overall I believe I'm on my way to doing something very special." And who can argue with that when he can show you better than he can tell you.

Young Money artist "Tyga" Steals "Snapbacks Back" from a 12 year old artist "Young Vishis"

Posted by Strickly For The Promo

On June 10th, Durvel WIlson Sr. of Native Son Entertainment went about his usual promotional methods of posting new music from his artist to various sites and his friends on Facebook.

His newest promotional efforts was towards his son Durvel Wilson Jr. aka "Young Vishis" with his new promotional single "Snapbacks Back The Tupac Remix".

One of the Facebook pages he posted the song on was Young Money President "Mack Maine". About eighteen days after, to his suprise the song was STRAIGHT STOLEN and recorded by Young Money artist Tyga with a feature from Chris Brown, not Young Vishis.

The chorus was changed a little but the concept of doing it about Snapbacks hats is what they took from the 12 Yr Old artist. We are aware it is a remix to "Tupacs Back" by Meek Millz and Rick Ross, however the reason Tyga and Chris Brown are getting props for the song was because the concept was different (refering to snapback hats).

In speaking with Durvel Wilson Sr. he said "That's straight wrong, they stealing songs from a 12 yr old who takes the time to write his own material and promote himself.

Young Vishis stated "They could have at least asked me to get on my own song with them" but to jack my whole song that was wrong".

Durvel Sr. added, to make matters worst when we went back to Mack Maine facebook page everything else that was posted that day was still there, but our post with the song. What he didn't remember though is that my page will still say that I added a link to his page that day. So it was a dumb move removing it.

This isn't over at all, we won't stop until everyone knows how dirty they did my son/artist.

D.A.D: Documentary About Dads Set to Hit Festival Circuits Later This Year

Posted by Strickly For The Promo

A Candid Look Inside Fatherhood Takes Center Stage in First -of-Its Kind Documentary

C. Mendez Productions, Shaniece Entertainment, and GoldenGirl FilmWorks Studios are proud to announce the world premiere of D.A.D: Documentary About Dads, a first-of-its-kind documentary providing unprecedented insight into the current state of fatherhood.

"These brave souls that shared their experiences in fatherhood will open more doors for others who allow fear to run them away from responsibility”, says T. Chynna Littlejohn of GoldenGirl FilmWorks Studios

D.A.D: Documentary About Dads follows the lives of 7 males (Koran, Danny, Richard, Andre, Franklin, Jason & Corry) from all walks of life candidly speaking on the current state of fatherhood in their own relationships. There is no stone unturned as this documentary delves into topics men rarely talk about publicly such as relationships, custody, and labor/delivery to the difficult topics of being labeled “deadbeat”, lacking of child support--emotionally and financially and more.

"By no means is this documentary focused on bashing men and fatherhood. As filmmakers, we wanted to give males the opportunity to be candid and upfront on their experiences or challenges and be a living testimony to younger fathers“, says executive producer Christina Mendez.

D.A.D aims to elevate the stories and relationships between fathers and their children as well as encourage more dialogue between males in similar situations. With support from local and national communities, D.A.D is bringing the subject of fatherhood to the forefront, uncensored and real.

Crystal Shaniece Roman of Shaniece Entertainment adds, "Good, bad or indifferent we gave men the open forum to express themselves on topics that they rarely get to address. We allowed them to tell their story and hear their side in regards to fatherhood."

D.A.D: “Documentary About Dads”, will be screened at a private NYC venue in August in conjunction with its official website launch and will also be submitted to various film festivals nationwide in 2011/2012.

Official Website:

About The Filmmakers:
Crystal Shaniece Roman ( Shaniece Entertainment), T. Chynna Littlejohn (GoldenGirl FilmWorks Studios), and Entertainment Personality Christina Mendez (C. Mendez Productions) began the journey of filming D.A.D organically. Kimberly Rivers Roberts

Posted by Strickly For The Promo

Kimberly Rivers Roberts and her Husband Scott Roberts are most known for the Documentary "Trouble The Water". On the day before Hurricane Katrina–just blocks away from the French Quarter but far from the New Orleans that most tourists knew–Kimberly Rivers Roberts, an aspiring rap artist, turned her new video camera on herself and her 9th Ward neighbors trapped in the city. "It's going to be a day to remember," Kim declares. As the hurricane began to rage and the floodwater fill their world and the screen, Kim and her husband Scott continued to film their harrowing retreat to higher ground and the dramatic rescues of friends and neighbors. The couple returned to the devastation of their neighborhood in New Orleans, only to be met by the appalling repeated failures of the government. But these self-described street hustlers become heroes, surviving the storm.

Seeing all the pain and suffering that was caused, upon there return they decided they wanted to make a difference. Kimberly Rivers Roberts partnered with Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation and started Troubled Waters, Awakening Minds. It's a non profit organization that focuses on individuals bound by substance abuse, which happens to be one of the most pressing challenges facing New Orleans' undeserved communities.

Kimberly Rivers Roberts is currently on the new HBO show "Treme". The series follows an ensemble cast of diverse characters three months following Hurricane Katrina. While most of the city's residents have relocated to Baton Rouge and Houston, many of the remaining residents now live in the "sliver by the river" (Treme) and are trying to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives amongst the devastation that continues to surround them. From chefs to musicians, each character has an inspirational (and often heart-breaking) story to tell about the events that took place in 2005 and how they are trying to rise above it all by rebuilding the city they love so much. Note: During its regularly scheduled season run, Treme airs new episodes on Sundays at 10pm ET on HBO (check local listings). The series can also be found on HBO on Demand.

On May 22nd Kimberly Rivers Roberts was recognized as Humanitarian of the Year by the undergroundgirlsofhiphop.com at the 2010 Female Hip Hop Honors Awards, for her support of her community and assistance through the storm.
She wants everyone to know that she is grateful for the support and ask that you stay aware of issues in New Orleans

ABOUT SUZANNA SAMONE aka FERRARI BARBIE:

Raised in the streets of Birmingham, Alabama, Suzanna Samone aka Ferrari Barbie, didn't believe rapping was her life’s first priority. Like many women, Suzanna found herself in an abusive relationship that almost claimed her life in 1997 when her then boyfriend crashed a vehicle, with her in it. The accident sent her to the hospital with a 30/70 percent chance she would come out of the surgery, and unclear if she would she ever walk again.

It was during her recovery that she spent all of her time listening to music, evaluating and studying the hip hop craft from other artists. Suzanna Samone felt there was a lack of message delivered in today’s lyrics, that the ladies of hip hop past like Queen Latifah, Queen Pen, MC Lyte, Sweet Tee and Yo-Yo shared. Suzanna Samone picked up a pen and pad and started writing lyrics and recording with friend and rap artist/Producer "Attitude" of Warner Brothers Records. Today she is an artist, thanking Hip Hop that she survived a life threatening accident.
Since then Suzanna Samone has been on the remix of Slip N Slide artist Swazy Baby 's "Half of it". In tthe studio with acclaimed producer Triple A who has produced for Jim Jones, Janet Jackson, Shanice, T-Pain and more. Suzanna Samone also recently won "Best Female Artist in Birmingham" in the Lifes Great Music Awards.
Suzanna Samone is currently scheduling her College Tour and is looking forward to performing in Atlanta and Alabama in the near future.
